A Fortnight of Faith, Gratitude & Reinvention

The last two weeks have been nothing short of turbulent, teaching, and transformational.

Mid-February:

We found ourselves in Da Nang, Vietnam—wrapped in a week of relentless wind and rain. The weather kept us cozy, and the city’s insane coffee scene fueled our minds, but beneath the surface, life felt full. A couple of personal hurdles tugged at our hearts, reminding us of the unpredictable nature of both family and business.

Then, just as our time in Da Nang was coming to a close, the sun broke through. We embraced long walks to alkalise the mind and body, indulged in incredible Vietnamese food, and breathed in a new sense of clarity. But even as our surroundings softened, our minds were locked on something bigger—the looming storm back home on the Gold Coast.

We scrolled through updates, trying to decipher what was media dramatisation versus real, urgent concern. Our hearts sat in that uncomfortable space between faith and fear. We felt helpless, yet grateful beyond words for family who stepped up, reinforcing our studio’s roof while also tending to their own homes. It’s an indescribable kind of richness—having people who show up when it truly counts.

The Flight & The Storm: The irony was not lost on us. As we physically took off—first from Da Nang to Kuala Lumpur, then to Krabi—our home on the Gold Coast was bracing for impact. The first flight was smooth, offering a rare moment of peace to dive into an incredible book: Project 369- gratitude consciousness. It was exactly the lesson I needed in that moment.

But the second flight? A different story.

Turbulence rattled us, and in that shaking, the weight of the last fortnight surfaced all at once. The uncertainty. The waiting. The letting go. I closed my eyes and focused on breath, visualising safe landings—for us in Thailand and for our family, friends, animals, and studio back home. We touched down, and gratitude flooded in.

The Aftermath & The Shift:

We’ve now had a couple of days in Krabi. The heat is intense (we love it), but our bodies still feel heavy—like we’re carrying the weight of faith, still alert to the flooding back home.

Yet through it all, one thing has become glaringly clear: gratitude changes everything.

When something you love is at risk of being taken away, you see its value with fresh eyes. This fortnight deepened our appreciation:

• For the artists who breathe life into our creative space.

• For the family who helped us build it—and protect it.

• For the privilege of being spared, while others in our community face a heavy clean-up.

So now, the question is—how do we pour this gratitude into our work?

We give more.

We share more.

We inject love and compassion into our work, into our community, into the brands and creators we support.

This is not just a shift. It’s a rebirth. A season of reinvention.

And we cannot wait to help you build yours.

Here’s to your next evolution. We’re with you every step of the way.
